Poached – by Stuart Gibbs

Posted on 06/20/202403/27/2026 by Mark Lieberman

This is the 2nd book in the Teddy Fitzroy Funjungle series, and I just finished reading it to my 8-year-old son this morning. I really enjoy reading to him, and he understands everything and sometimes we have to stop to discuss what just happened. Last night, he told me to stop reading because he had to think it through and he didn’t want of my help. Sometimes, we both get so excited by what is happening in the book that we both become louder and in some cases, we laugh out loud (a lot).

So, again, and just like Belly Up, I asked him some questions about the book and his replies are unedited by me!

What did you think of Poached?
I liked it.

Who was your favorite character?
Kazoo

What was your favorite part of the book?
When Teddy almost went to jail.

Were you surprised by the ending and who did it was it who you expected it to be or somebody different?
Yes.

Any final thoughts about the book?
It was pretty cool.
