I usually don’t get embarrassed, but yesterday Nina and I did something together, because I was too embarrassed to do it alone, even though a lot of people do it alone. I have done it once before with Nina before Niko was born. I was so clueless when they asked me questions, that I had to revert to Nina to help me answer them.
Nina was happy to join me because it’s something she likes but hasn’t had a whole lot of opportunities to do it. When I officially made it official last Wednesday, she was excited and was looking forward to it. She did though, throughout the week leading up to it, kept making fun of me a little bit.
Yes, I will tell you what is. Just be patient while I tease you a little bit.
It took a lot of planning and research.
Planning because Nina and I didn’t want to bring Niko with us, so I had to get my parents to come over and babysit Niko while we went out. So, like 526 text messages later!
Research because the place we went, there is a lot of competition with a lot of locations just down our main street. So, I had to look them up online, check the services and prices, and review feedback from our neighborhood Facebook page. Then, once I found a good place, I had to get some input from Nina. Then, I had to call them up and make an appointment.

So, at 10 am on Saturday, Nina and I were sitting in very comfortable massage chairs and our feet were getting a very pleasant, pampered treatment. I was the only gentleman there until a teenager showed up with his mom. They had complementary drinks and packaged Rice Krispy Treats. I debated with myself for 2 seconds as to whether I should indulge in an alcoholic drink at 10 am or a regular soda. I chose the latter.

One of the reasons I wanted to do this is when I sleep, my feet sometimes rub against each other and, it doesn’t feel smooth as I have rough feet. So, I made the choice to get it fixed.
Will we go back. I think so. I actually enjoyed it. And the staff were extremely friendly and took good care of us.
