Miss O’Dell: My Hard Days and Long Nights with the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and the Women They Loved – by Chris O’Dell

As I was reading the new Leon Russell biography (I actually stopped reading it because it was a bit too much detailed on every single thing he did and with who, but I may go back in a few weeks to finish it), I learned that he had a brief fling with Chris O’Dell. I have heard of this book before as I am a fan of The Beatles. Now, though, I was interested in learning more about her life.

Boy, what a life she had that started in 1968 with The Beatles and Apple Records. How cool is that? She was on the roof when The Beatles performed their rooftop concert. How cool is that?

I really enjoyed reading about her life and all the musicians she worked for. She shared plenty of stories and obviously, drugs, drinking, and sex was part of her activities.

She got to see artists perfect their work in the studio, she has songs written about her (George Harrison and Leon Russell), she had some brief flings with some of the musicians, she got to see a lot of live shows featuring the artists mentioned in the job title – plus more that aren’t mentioned. How cool is that?

She was also very friendly with Maureen Starkey (Ringo’s ex-wife), Pattie Boyd (George’s ex-wife, and Astrid Lundstrom (Bill Wyman’s former partner from The Rolling Stones). How cool is that?
