Niko and Dad VS Sweets

Posted on 02/12/202303/13/2026 by Mark Lieberman

I try my best not to eat all the sweets in the house, because I know that Niko also likes them. But I always tell him, if I do eat them all, we can get more. Nina is smart, and she takes her stash upstairs. Sometimes, Niko will hide some in the pantry so I can’t eat it. Just a few days ago, I found some M & M’s he hid from me. He combined them with some peanut M & M’s, and yes, I have eaten a small amount of them – but not the peanut ones as I actually don’t like those.

I will admit, that sometimes, I smuggle the sweets below in my mouth in the evenings so nobody can see me doing it. I also do that with cheese! Hey, don’t judge me.

Sometimes, I sneak in the pantry and Niko sees me and comes in there with me. He knows something good will happen!

It’s very hard to eat sweets in front of Niko because he wants whatever I have.

Last Sunday, Niko and I went to Target, and everything we brought was either chips or sweets!

Yesterday, Niko and I were out in the world, and I asked him if he wanted Girl Scout Cookies? Of course, he said yes and was surprised that we got 4 boxes. He thought we were getting one cookie each for the 4 different flavors. I was like nope; we get the whole box.

Niko is actually really good about not eating them every time he comes downstairs; unlike me!
