Something we did on the Saturday before his 1st birthday in May and we didn’t tell anybody till this week was we had a professional photographer take photos of us as a family and of the smash cake. We exchanged soap for photos. Nina makes homemade bath and body products. The photographer wasn’t somebody we found the day before on Next Door or Craigslist; it was actually the same photographers who did our wedding…RAW IMAGES PHOTOGRAPHY.
As far as the family photos, Niko didn’t really want any part of them; probably because it was very hot and he didn’t know the people taking the photographs. Nina and I looked nice as our clothes we changed into didn’t have any baby stains on them. But, as soon as we got the cake out for smashing, he was happy to oblige and was glad to be able to eat and make a huge mess. I kept waiting for him to dive head first into the cake, but that never happened.
