Last week, Nina was in the Minneapolis area house shopping. She saw something like 25 houses. On our Realtor list, we had several that we really liked and I thought one of those would be the one. Well, new ones were being added through another app, and we liked them better. Nina did a lot of research on each and put them all on a spreadsheet so we could compare them. That helped me as I am a number dude, so I could see how much per month if we did different percentages of a down payment. Nina added school and crime info, just to name a few.
I am pleased to announce that we now the owners of a house in Big Lake, MN! Our current lease is up in June, so now we get to pack up and move out-of-state.
Movers will move our stuff. Nina and Niko will fly up. I will drive up in the mama mobile with Riley.
What about my little dada mobile? It will be sold before we move, and I am not sad about it. We will live with one car, and I think we will be OK. It’s not like I commute to work. My commute is a few steps to wherever my office is. If we both have to be someplace at the same time, I can always UBER. But to be honest, that doesn’t happen. And, my rehab ends tomorrow and I won’t have any appointments till June and September (after we move, so I will need to find new doctors).
It’s exciting and the house is big. We have a lot of ideas for what to do with that extra room. For me, I will have an office and I am looking forward to getting a nice comfy chair and some sort of display or bookcase to showoff some of my things that have been packed away. Also, it will be fun to hang some of my Beatles posters on the wall.
There is even another large room that be home to all of Nina’s sewing supplies and equipment and Niko’s art desk and supplies.
It will be weird moving out-of-state, as I have lived in San Antonio, TX for my whole life. It will be nice to see snow and not be drenched in sweat!
