This morning, Nina left us for Minneapolis where she is looking at houses and hopefully, for one of them, we will buy. Yes, that means we are leaving Texas (we are tired of the weather, construction, and traffic) and Minnesota is a very safe choice. I am not at all worried about snow and cold, as it will be better than here.
It’s been a long process of waiting for things to happen for us:
First, I had to land a fully remote job.
Second, we had to sell our old house.
Third, we had to pick someplace to move.
Fourth, somebody has to go look at the houses.
Fifth, we have make an offer and make sure it gets accepted.
Sixth, we have to pack everything up for the out-of-state move.
Seventh, we have to fly and drive to the new place. When the moves happens and it will as we are leasing till June, Nina and Niko will fly and I will drive me and the cat. I will be selling my little Honda Civic.
I am excited and looking forward to this. The cool thing is, I have about 200 colleagues from HealthEquity who live in Minnesota, so I may be able to meet some of them in person. The few that I have reached out for questions, have all been extremely helpful and welcoming.
I am also eager to be able to have an office where I can finally decorate it.
