If you’re looking for a history of Microsoft, this isn’t the book you should choose as this is about his childhood, school years, and his passion for programming computers. Yes, there is a little bit about Microsoft and how it got started as well as how Bill met Paul Allen and Steve Ballmer. But, that is it. Nothing about the mighty beast called Windows.
The stories he told were enjoyable and just to think of him at that time and then think about future Bill, what an amazing story. His parents were a big influence on his path to stardom, along with some of his classmates.
As you can tell, I enjoyed this book, and just read a blurb on Wikipedia, that this is the first of a three-part memoir; with one focused on Microsoft and another one on his philanthropy. Count me in for both, please!
