The Last Action Heroes: the Triumphs, Flops, and Feuds of Hollywood’s Kings of Carnage – by Nick de Semlyen

After I finished Nick de Semlyen’s other book called, Wild and Crazy Guys: How the Comedy Mavericks of the ’80s Changed Hollywood Forever, I wanted more so I read this one about: Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan, Dolph Lundgren, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Bruce Willis. I got a brief background on these star and the movies they made as well as their personal relationships and egos. I thought the comedy guys had egos, well, these action stars have like, double the egos and it seemed that most of them wanted it done there way or no way.

I have seen a few of the action movies mentioned and my favorites were Die Hard and Total Recall. Not a fan of Rambo, Terminator, martial arts, or shoot em up movies.

It was very similar to the comedy book, just insert different stars and movies. Despite that, I enjoyed it and for me, it was a quick and easy read.
