The Converse Judson Rockets and the Cibolo Steele Knights are two of my favorite teams to see live and they are both in District 25-6A.
I was a high school football statistician for the Texas Sports Radio Network for 18 years (I started in 1997) and for the last 12 of those years, my primary Friday assignment was doings stats for the Judson Rockets. The Steele Knights’ first year of football was 2006 and yeah, both the Texas Sports Radio Network and Thursday Nights Lights (my Thursday stat gig whose games are on television) covered them frequently.
Basically, I got to work a lot of Judson and Steele games and dude, I got to see some amazing talent from both teams (hmm, that may be a good future article).
