AT&T stadium in Arlington will host 10 state championship games starting tomorrow and ending on Saturday. Wow!!! It will be the “place to be” for high school football fans!!! And, if it was close to my home, I would love to take in Championship Saturdayin person!!!
The Texas Sports Radio Network in San Antonio has the Falls City Beavers and the Brennan Bears playing for a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP and even though I won’t be doing stats for those games (I have no more time off at Chase), I wanted to let you know that both games can be heard on the Mighty 680 am KKYX only. KKYX is also available on iheart Radio.
So, mute the television and listen to our great broadcasters call the games!!!
1A-DI Thursday, December 21 @ 1pm - Falls City Beavers VS Wellington Rockets
Steven Beers will do play-by-play for Falls City (he has done it all year) and Bobby Stautzenberger and Mark Kusenberger are going to have a 100 yard dash on the field before the game for color and sideline reporting!!! Craig Esterbrook will be on stats.
4A-DI Friday, December 22 @ 8pm – Brennan Bears VS Denton Guyer Wildcats
Bobby Stautzenberger and Mark Kusenberger will see who can take down Brennan defender and Associated Press 4A defensive player of the year Derick Roberson before the game for play-by-play and color!!! Norm Ward from Dallas will be the sideline reporter. Craig Esterbrook will be on stats.
I may get a GUEST BLOG from Craig for both games and if so, I will publish them as soon as I get them.

Whenever I hear or say the word BEAVER (which if you would believe doesn’t happen often), I always think back on The Naked Gun when Leslie Nielson, aka Frank Drebin, tells Priscilla Presley’s character Jane “nice beaver” and she replies “thanks I just had it stuffed.” I had to get this in somewhere in my blog!!!
