Lion Down (Funjungle, #5) – by Stuart Gibbs

So far, of all the Funjungle books I have read to my 8-year-old son, this was his favorite. He liked the excitement, the adventures, and all the funny things that happened (especially, the wheelchair rumble towards the end)! His favorite phrase was from J.J. McCracken when he said, “Crap on crackers!”

Last night, we were so close to finishing, but I had to stop reading so he could go to sleep. I think he really wanted me to finish, and he had a hard time falling asleep. After an hour of him trying, he kicked me out! The reason, he wanted to finishing reading on his own, which he did. I love that he did that, but also he needs his sleep! This morning, I read the epilogue and we finished for good.

Oh, my wife has been buying stuffed animals for the series, so he now has a Mountain Lion to add to his zoo bed!
