Yesterday, the three of us went to The Shops at La Cantera (Niko wanted to go last weekend, but he changed his mind at the last minute).
It was cool and cloudy, so we ate lunch outside at Lucianos’s. Niko ordered for us all: mozzarella sticks and a small cheese pizza. It was yummy.
The shops we visited were The Lego Store (Niko didn’t find anything to his liking), Bath and Body Works (Nina wanted to get some smelly things), and Macy’s (did you know they have a small section from Toys “R” Us) and Niko found some Sharper Image (yes, they are still here) laser tag guns. I threw in a small lego set as a surprise for Niko, but I ended up building it and now it’s in my office. The laser tag guns are actually pretty fun as Niko and I can play with them in the house.
After all this eating and shopping, Niko was worn out but had one final request and that was he wanted a treat. Carlo’s Bakery at The Shops at La Cantera didn’t appeal to him. The cafe at Barnes and Noble looked promising, but the line was super long and he was ready to be done. So, while I was getting the car to pick them up at Barnes and Noble, they agreed on Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins which is across the street from our neighborhood. Niko got a cookies and cream milkshake, I got a kids scoop of cookies and cream, and Nina got three scoops of nothing in an empty cup with a sampler spoon!
