Well, we are 10 days into school, and Niko finally had his first sick day on Friday! I partially blame one of his classmates who sits across from him as a few days prior to Friday, he vomited near Niko and some of it got on another classmates Chromebook. Yeah, I know great and thanks a lot!
Niko woke up at 3:45 on Friday morning and 5:30 on Saturday morning. And, as you know, when he gets up, I am up with him. Yeah, I was tired on both days, but you do what you have to do. On Saturday night, he fell asleep before 6 and I did the same thing (mine was at 6). This morning, he woke up at 2 and 5:40.
I am very glad that he actually took medication easily. In the past getting him to take medication was very hard and frustrating for Nina and me. At one point, we had every flavor and brand of medication available from CVS. When he was teething, he took it easily. At some point, he realized it tastes bad and the more he thinks about it, it makes him gag and vomit! And, also, he also claims he feels better so the medication isn’t necessary. This morning, he was back to his old self of refusing medication, so wish us luck today for that!
Fortunately, he is off on Monday for Labor Day, so we have an extra day to get him healthy and back to school.
Oh, tomorrow is also Nina’s birthday. I got her a few things, off which I won’t say what it is, as she will probably read this beforehand. She did say Niko and I will be taking her out to lunch and when Niko heard that, he suggested a steak at Longhorn Steakhouse. But those plans may change, as we have to make sure Niko is ok. But I can also pick something up for everybody as well.
