Yesterday, and not planned, Niko and I went to 7 places. We had a wonderful time, and he is always great company.
That morning, I had offered to take him to him to Rivercenter Mall or North Star Mall or to the movie theater for Inside Out 2 or the new Minions movie, but, he really wanted to stay home.
Then, after we ate breakfast, I asked if he wanted to cash out his coins at the bank. That hit him as a brilliant idea because he also wanted to buy a wallet to hold his cash. I was telling him he can bring it with us when we are out in the world and if he wants to buy something for himself, he can have money for it.
So, we went to the bank, and he had a fun time putting all of his change in the machine to be counted. It came out to almost $60. Then, we went to Ross, and he picked out his first wallet (it looks like mine and Nina’s). Now he was ready to go home, but when I asked if he wanted to visit a La-Z-Boy store very close to where we were, his eyes lit up and he screamed yes!
After La-Z-Boy, he was again ready to be done, and I was fine with that. I started to drive home, and not even a minute later, he asked if can we visit the Floor & Decor store which was in the next shopping center from La-Z-Boy. My eyes lit up, and I screamed yes! He has asked for both in the past, and Nina and I have said no as we have had other plans going on those particular days.
After Floor & Decor, he wanted a burger from IHOP, and I offered Chili’s instead, and he agreed. He likes the chips and salsa there, and was dunking fries in it! While we were eating, he asked for Marble Slab, and I said yes.
When we arrived at Marble Slab, he asked to visit Factory Mattress afterwards, and I said yes, again, but let’s do it first as I didn’t want him to get ice cream first and then get it all over the beds!
Niko told me the La-Z-Boy, Floor & Decor, and Factory Mattress were awesome as he really likes to sit, touch, and play with things! I just have to make sure he doesn’t break anything, which one day, I know, it will happen! Several years ago, Niko and I were at a store and something he touched fell and cracked into a million pieces. I offered to pay for it (it was less than $50), but the shopkeeper refused and said it happens more than often.
