My wife works from home as a stylist for StitchFix and last Sunday, the three of us went to Woodland Park at River Place in Austin; which is about an hour from us, for a company lunch.
Niko slept on the way up, but on the drive home, he was awake; he only cried for the last 30 minutes. Since I was already off the highway, I pulled into a parking lot so Nina could join Niko in the backseat to entertain him; which sort of worked.
I so much wanted to be the annoying spouse who ruins everything and is the only thing they discuss on Monday. But, I am a nice person and didn’t do that. I smiled, said hello to anybody who said hello to me, and made sure Nina and Niko were having a great time.
Niko was able to walk around in his shoes and Nina and I enjoyed chasing him. I am glad we all had a change of clothes because it was hot.
Seeing how much fun Niko had, I am really looking forward to getting him out and walking at the park close to us; but it will have to be in the morning until it gets cooler outside.
