As I mentioned last Sunday, I still am going to write book reviews and dad blogs on thedadspeaks.com.
When I first started writing on thestatmanspeaks.com in 2011, my niche was sports writing and photos from high school football and high school basketball games. I also shared photos of two high school football stadiums getting renovated and a new gymnasium being built. I had a nice amount of interested folks and always had engaging conversations with them, but I stepped away after the 2017 high school football season concluded. My son was born in 2016, and I wanted to spend those evenings with my family. I have published a few sporty blogs since, but nothing that would blow anybody away our win me any awards. I would like to start writing there again this year, but without going out of the house and I really don’t want to watch sports. I will figure something to write.
Writing is something I will always do as I enjoy it and it comes easily for me. I was looking over some of the fiction (yes, fiction) writings I did in high school and college, as well as some I have done since 2011, and I really want to update and edit them as they all need a lot of work. I was even telling Niko that I may be able to combine some of them. First, I really need to reread them all from start to finish and add some quick notes. Then, I can start updating and editing them. Maybe, those can be published as my 4th ebook.
So, with all that being written, I am going to set a schedule for my writings so you can know when to expect fresh new hot out of the oven content.
On Wednesday’s, I will share a book review or maybe book reviews!
On Sunday’s, I will share a dad blog. I promise, I won’t share poop and pee stories as he isn’t a baby anymore!
And, on the last day of each month, I will share something sporty.
I will promote them through Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads, Amazon, Bookmark, and Storygraph. I am off Twitter and didn’t like Threads. I do belong to a few Facebook groups for book reviews and even have my own book review group called Marks Book Reviews. Come and join as you will not get book reviews from me, but also updates throughout the week. You can even share your thoughts on what you’re reading or anything else book related.
In addition, I need to find a new way to capture attention and get people to read me. I am open for ideas.
