It’s my birthday today, and to celebrate, I had a terrific eating weekend.
Friday
Nina went to Costco earlier in the day and got a Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse cake. The three of us had a small piece that evening. For dinner, I wanted to get something from the food truck at our amenity center in the neighborhood. It was called Wally’s Deli, and I will tell you, it wasn’t good. I could have made Niko and I a sandwich with the deli we like at home. I mean, we did eat the sandwiches, but I won’t be getting anything else from that particular food truck again.
Saturday
Niko and I met my parents and brother at Bigz Burgers (we left Nina at home as even though she is doing much better, she is still recovering). They have a simple menu of burgers, hot dogs, chicken, fries, drinks, and shakes – which I will happily force into my mouth for consumption.
Afterwards, and since we were close to my favorite Chinese restaurant, I ordered a lot of food for pickup so we can eat it that evening, Sunday, Monday, and maybe even Tuesday.
Sunday
I am hoping somebody (Nina) will get my breakfast tacos from a local Mexican restaurant this morning. If not, I will do it on my own!
So, today, I will read, write, relax, and maybe get a nap in.
