Two Saturday’s ago, I wanted Chinese noodles, and settled for Luciano’s pizza.
Last Saturday, I wanted Chinese noodles, and settled for leftovers.
Yesterday, Nina offered to get me my Chinese noodles as she was next door picking up our grocery store items. But they weren’t open yet.
Today, I finally got my Chinese noodles, and I am a happy eating noodling dude!
My fortune cookie said, nobody cares what you ate!
So, let me switch gears and tell you what the three of us did today. Oh, today and for the first time all week, it was not raining, but it was still cool outside. Also, Niko is feeling much better.
We went to Michael’s and Niko had a great time putting lots of drawing supplies in the cart. When we arrived home, of course, he opened them all up and got paint on his hands and hair. Even the cat got a little bit of paint on himself. Well, the art table is under a window where Riley likes to watch the birds at the bird eater. After I got Niko cleaned up, I said for now on, painting will be done outside.
Next stop on the adventure was Office Max, and it was mainly so Niko could sit in every single office chair on the floor. I like the desks as right now, I have a cheapy one from Amazon. I told Nina, if we ever buy another house and have a better place for an office, I want to buy a real desk.
The last stop before my Chinese noodles was Jamba Juice, and Nina and Niko each got drinks. I am not a fan of smoothies, so I ordered a big soda at the Chinese restaurant.
Let me say, it’s not the best noodles and fried rice I have ever had, but it’s close to where we were at that time (they also have a location close to where we live), and I can order online and pick up at the drive through. The many times I have ordered from them, only once or twice did they mess up the order.
You know who’s been messing up our orders lately? Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. The last time Niko and I went there, they got two of our three burgers wrong. I checked before we left and called the store to tell them. I went back through the drive through and got two correct burgers. So, we had five burgers!
Wait, I need to stop here. My fortune cookie said, nobody cares what you ate! I forgot. Sometimes, I get a bit carried away when I write about food. Before I moved my food relatable blogs from www.thestatmanspeaks.com, I always ended them with this phrase: so, happy eating and same some for me! Brilliant, yeah…I know!
This morning, Niko woke up at 5:30 am, and for breakfast he had a cheeseburger (my parents visited us on Monday, and they bought us five frozen burgers. I cooked them last night. I had leftover salami and American cheese breakfast tacos. Yeah, a good old American breakfast! Later in the day, we played with Legos and did some play wrestling in bed.
Lastly, I have TEN fiction stories saved on my laptop and am looking forward to editing them and making them much better – but it’s going to take time. Will they be published as eBooks or blogs? Both, as some are short, and others are long. One of them, I was thinking about it yesterday, and couldn’t find it anywhere. I even asked Nina if she remembered it as I told what it was about, and she said yes. The only place I didn’t look was our iMac, and guess what? Well, not only did I find that one, but a few more. I was happy. I still want to see if I have anything on an old Apple computer at my parents’ house.
