On Wednesday, the school had early dismissal. We dropped him off at school at 7:40 and picked him up at 11:45. During that time, he had his two favorite activities – recess and a small snack in his classroom. We also surprised him with the pizza car (that’s what he calls it) for lunch. When we got home, I rearranged our LoveSac sofa to accommodate him, and he gathered the TV remote, the Switch remote, and his iPad – so he was good to relax.
On Thursday after school, we had to go back for meet the teacher. Before school started a few weeks ago, we attended an open house where we met her.
I am amazed every Friday when Nina and I look at all of his work and how much he does. The meet the teacher was an overview of what they are doing and learning in class along with some other information. It was nice to see Niko’s desk and all the fun colorful things everywhere in the classroom. I am glad that in the session we attended, only a few of the students and parents were with us. There were two other later sessions scheduled.
