Tomorrow, Niko turns 6 so we will do whatever he wants within reason. One thing he definitely wants is Freddy’s for lunch and we can easily do that. Even though I really enjoy having a double bacon cheeseburger from Freddy’s, I won’t be having that as I haven’t had cheese since April 9th; also, I haven’t had milk. Now, I have had chocolate, but no milk to go with it, no chocolate milk, and no cereal with milk. And I actually don’t miss either. Next, I need to work on cutting out butter and chocolate. I am not doing it to lose wight, I am doing it so my stomach feels better – if you know what I mean. I am not a young dude anymore!
On Saturday, the three of us went to the Animal Defense League and adopted a cat. Our day started at 9:45 and we didn’t get home till 4:45. The reason being is we dropped off Niko’s old iPad to get repaired first (his has been broken for a few weeks and I ended up giving him my iPad Mini and when we get the other one fixed, it will be mine) and then we went to two locations for the Animal Defense League. Too many cats at the first one and Niko couldn’t choose.
In between locations, we made a pit-stop for food and bathrooms at Jack in the Box and again, as much I would’ve loved to have a double bacon cheeseburger, I went for a chicken sandwich and fries. Niko had a cheeseburger and fried and Nina had fries. At the second location, I got Niko vending machine cookies and he thought they were the best and I got a soda.
Franklin cat passed away in July of 2020 and I have missed him, but not the mess and loudness. But Nina and Niko wanted one, especially Niko. So, I caved! I took care of Franklin litter, water, and food for almost 6 years by myself. Nina and Niko told me they would help with the new one and last Thursday, they got lots of cat supplies. My favorite was a sprinkled donut cat bed.
So far, the cat is getting acclimated to us, and our large house – for now, we are keeping her downstairs. Her name is Bluebell, she is 4 years old, and very shy. Yeah, you can expect some more words and pictures about her.
I asked Niko if wanted to share his thoughts about the cat, and he agreed. So, here are his words and they unedited by me:
Niko gets a cat Part 1
So, there was a cat and Niko adopted it.
Part 2
Niko Mario superhero and he got a very very very very very very very very special cat.
So, we went to a lot of places, and we got lots of stuff stuff stuff stuff and that was about it.
Dunkin Donuts!
I think he will look nice and cuddly and will like to play a little bit, it will like me and that’s about it.
Cat and Niko at home
So, one day I got a cat and that was part 1. If you want to see Part 1, go back a few episodes. But yeah, we got a cat a super cat and now I have it so it’s playing with me. I’m giving it water and food and we’re taking really good care of it. I’m playing with it, you know. All that cat meaner stuff, you know you know you know.
So, we visited so so so so many cat shelters and we went to the first for about two hours and then we went to a second one for about three and a half hours. Isn’t that good?
Yes yes yes. I’m super excited to get the cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
