Dads of San Antonio
Dads of San Antonio is a Facebook group that I belong to, along with 2200 other dads. This is taken directly from Facebook… it’s a group where local dads can positively support each other through encouragement, tips, advice, occasional business networking and social get togethers for coffee, etc. Join in and participate with us to lift up and support local dudes doing dad things in! I rarely post something or answer a question.
They debuted a podcast in January, and in March, I was one of their guests. I gave them a brief bio of me, shared my experiences, and promoted my two books.
Well, to date, they have yet to release it. The last time I reached out was in June and they said they were aiming for July 19th or August 16th. The last podcast they released was on June 21st. I was planning on publishing this after the podcast was released.
I am a little bit disappointed, but not to the point where I will bother Luis and Michael every day and scream WHEN WILL MY PODCAST BE UPLOADED? IT’S BEEN ALMOST 8 MONTHS. If it does end up getting published, well, then awesome for me.
I know they are both living life to the fullest, are busy doing other things, and uploading a podcast is probably not at the top of any priority list. I mean, dude, they are dads, and that is a fulltime job in itself. If it does get uploaded
As you can probably tell, my preferred way of communicating is by words, not by voice. If you ask my wife though, she will tell you that I can’t keep my mouth shut for two minutes as I am constantly talking about something.
If I had the option to talk to other dads, I would choose words over a podcast. So, yeah, I would love to incorporate that into my website. Do I have any takers?
Or should I be proactive, and reach out to the dads I follow on social media? On Twitter, most are television personalities. I think it would be cool if I did that and then I could start reaching out to other local celebrities.
So, if I do indeed do that, this is what I can say and hopefully, it will get them to say YES.
