On Saturday, Niko celebrated his 2nd New Year’s Eve with us. His 1st was in Nina’s belly!!! The three of us celebrated in grand style by sleeping. Yes, I did hear fireworks in my neighborhood all night long (it started at 6pm) and I really wanted to see them, but sleep was more important to me!!!
As for Nina and I, this was our 10th New Year’s Eve together. I need to share our story of how we met on www.thedadspeaks.com. It is really romantic…just a quick teaser; we met at Washington Mutual Bank (we started on the same day but in different departments). Each year with her gets better and better. Last year was the year of Niko and this year will be the year of Niko growing, walking, running, and talking along with many many adventures in the world. Hopefully, his sleep will get better!
I will be turning 40 in April and I don’t want to hear any “over the hill” jokes (at least not yet) and please stop telling me about my nice bald spot which is open for advertising (I am fully aware of it and until I can see it in the mirror, then I will do something about it). I am contemplating a short trip (somewhere in the USA) to celebrate my milestone and Niko’s 1st birthday (we are 9 days apart). Of course, I will bring Nina and Niko with me. It’s not like I am going to Vegas!!! Actually, it may be Vegas for food, shows, and awesome sightseeing (not gambling and strip clubs)!!! Or it may be somewhere where we can drive to. I don’t know!
My dad had a stripper for his 40th birthday party. I was 7 years old and my curiosity made me sneak a peek!!! My mother and I don’t remember what we did for her 40th birthday when I was 12 years old. I know it didn’t involve a stripper and if it did, that secret has been held for 27 years!! We probably celebrated my mom’s 40th by eating somewhere!!! The Lieberman’s are really good at eating and always like to celebrate happy occasions with food!!!
On Saturday morning, we went to CarMax to get Nina’s car appraised. We are planning on either selling it directly to them or trading it in at the dealership in the weeks ahead. Yes, that means we are buying her a new car (most likely it will be a Honda Pilot). Her current car is adequate as everything works well; we just need more cargo room and more room for Niko (and, room for another baby if we decide on adding an addition, which right now we are leaning toward it; just going to be a few years down the road).
Whatever car dealership we go to, I hope we can start a loan application online because I know it will take time and time is something we really don’t have with Niko.
So, if you see me and I look like I am not doing well, it is probably due to the fact that I had to sell organs and body parts to the car dealership!!
