Lawn Mowing

Posted on 06/13/202103/13/2026 by Mark Lieberman

It feels really good that today I didn’t have to mow the backyard this morning like I did last Sunday and the Sunday before that. We had a lot of rain and the back yard grew quickly in the two prior weeks; this week, it’s just HOT. Our little battery powered lawnmower did a good job and two weeks ago, right when I was finishing up, the battery died! Oh well is what I said as I plugged it in to be charged.

Our back yard is not hard to mow, but I do have a few obstacles; hammock, bamboo trees, rose bush, one tree in the middle of the yard, several pots of plants, two garden beds, the garden hose, and a sandbox. Oh, how can I not mention any of Niko’s toys rolling around the backyard; mostly balls and a toy basketball hoop. The front yard is easy as yesterday evening, I did it less than 30 minutes.

I do enjoy having my own lawnmower as I don’t have to pay and rely on somebody else to do it. And, it always looks and smells good after I am done. Plus, it makes our house look even better and often times, after I mow, our neighbors mow also; or vice versa.
