I did really good not eating pasta and rice for almost 27 days; I started on 3/25 and was aiming for 30 days. But, my birthday was on 4/23 and I had Chinese noodles and fried rice that entire weekend; it actually started on 4/22! And, after that, I just continued to eat pasta and rice until Niko’s birthday on 5/2.
I mean, how could I let basmati rice go to waste? Well, I didn’t. I made fried rice out of it and had to eat it. Then one day last week, I made turkey ground meat with tomato sauce and it goes great with pasta.
But, on 5/4, I started the no pasta and rice again; this time, though, indefinitely, and am also doing 7 days of no dairy. I am seeing if no dairy makes me go to the bathroom less. If no change, then I will give up something else.
I think the hardest part of no dairy will be the butter as I love smothering butter on most everything I eat and cook and all the delicious sweets that we have in the house; like Niko’s cake. Cheese and milk will be easier as I actually don’t consume those as much as butter and sweets.
