The Dad Bod – Part 6 (Starting Over…Again)

Posted on 11/22/202003/13/2026 by Mark Lieberman

Hey, I am still trying to eat better and some days, I do really good and some days, I do really bad. However, for the past few weeks, it’s been bad! It’s hard for me because pasta, rice, bread, and sweets are so yummy. Spread some butter on my pasta, rice, and bread, and I will easily be ready for seconds and thirds almost immediately! Pour me a large glass of milk or chocolate milk with my sweets, and I am in a very peaceful place.

I need a solid plan AGAIN and if I can stick with it for a few weeks, it will become routine. My new plan will start tomorrow and I will write down on a dry erase board what I plan on eating throughout the day. I know writing it down sounds funny, but I know it will help me because I did that for a few weeks last month and I followed it.

My awesome, sweet, and beautiful wife of 10 years made me a breakfast quiche yesterday consisting of eggs, tomatoes from our garden, onions, and spinach for this weeks breakfasts. I had a little bit this morning and it was delicious. Even Niko ate some with me. And, we got a good looking eggplant and zucchini from the supermarket a days ago; those will be my vegetables for the week for lunch and dinner. I will cook them later today. See, I am thinking ahead food wise.

It sure is easier to write about it then it is to actually do it.
