High School Football

Posted on 06/19/201211/04/2025 by Mark
It is June 19th; High School football doesn’t start until August 30th!!!  That is 73 days (you can thank Mark, the statman, for that incredible number).

It will be my 4th year as a statistician for KMYS (television) and my 16th year as a statistician for the Texas Sports Radio Network (radio).  Wow, that is a lot of high school football games!

I was wondering why Ernie Zuniga, the television announcer for the High School football games and the best morning anchorman on KABB Fox 29, tagged me in a photo on Facebook yesterday and once I clicked on it, I was super excited for what I saw! It was the television schedule for Thursday Night Lights!! Finally!!  Yay!!!

We got a great schedule lined up and it all starts August 30th at Heroes stadium (this is not the Gucci Bowl).  It concludes November 1st at Boerne high school stadium (I have never been to that particular stadium).   Can you tell that I am excited?

Hi, I am Mark. I started writing in 2011 about high school football, daddy blogging since 2015, and reviewing books since 2023. My writing style is unique, my sense of humor is a little crazy, and I’m not embarrassed to share any of it. You can email me at thedadspeaks@icloud.com.
