On Sunday, I start my final term at Western Governors University for my MBA. I have two courses and the final capstone written project remaining. I am planning to be finished by March.
When my first term started on November 1st of last year, Niko stopped taking naps around that time and I was planning on getting some extra schoolwork completed during his naps, but that never happened. When my second term started on May 1st of this year, Niko turned into a crazy boy right at nighttime and it was very hard to get him to relax and eventually sleeping. So, what will happen on Sunday?
I have been a long break as my last course was finished on September 28th. I have enjoyed my evenings as I have read a lot of books on my iPad in the evenings and had a lot of early bedtimes. Sleep is really good for me as I still have a 4 am alarm for a Niko pee and a 7 am alarm for work. Saturday’s and Sunday’s, I wake up when Niko wakes up; I can hear him through our monitor waking up.
Most of those books I have read have been quite a contrast to what I usually read. Usually, it’s autobiographies, but the past several have been fiction written by Dave Barry and Carl Hiaasen. Both of them have very similar writing styles. I like the humor, the plot twists, the characters, the descriptions of stuff that happens (both good and bad), and they have been quick reads. I read on my work from home breaks and lunch, in the evenings before sleep, on the weekends when Niko is occupied with something else, and on the weekdays after I am done working from home when Niko is occupied with something else. I enjoy reading and it’s relaxing as I don’t have to think about anything.
Well, that is all I got for today. Check back on Sunday and I will tell you what Niko and I dressed up as for Halloween.
