Yesterday, Nina and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We would’ve been on a cruise, but it was canceled. So, we will go next year, probably October or November.
I still took last week off from work and still have a few more days off as I don’t return to the work from home office until this Wednesday. Nina took yesterday off so the three of us could celebrate together. The three of us haven’t been out in the world since before the pandemic shut everything down. It was really nice as we didn’t really have anything planned. All we knew was that we wanted to do something outside like the pool or a park and then pickup some food afterwards. But not just any food; no, we wanted a steak from somewhere.
Now, I get to tell you what we did…
So, instead of a park or the neighborhood pool, we took a drive to Jamba Juice and then we came home because Niko was tired. When we have a tired boy, sometimes it turns into mad and cranky boy and that is no fun at all. On Friday, he was tired because he woke up really early and then I dragged him to Sea World; and yes, he was mad and cranky and he took it out on me at Sea World. If I didn’t have Sea World reservations and if he didn’t know about it, I would’ve stayed home with him. But, he was excited about it, especially the hay maze and Halloween candy. He did sleep a few minutes later on Saturday, but was still tired and the madness and crankiness was aimed at both of us. Yeah, a rough two days. I, for one, was very glad when he finally went to sleep on Saturday, just so I could enjoy some quiet time.
For our steak, we ordered steaks, ribs, and grilled shrimp from The Salt Grass Steakhouse and had it delivered. It was yummy and mine was gone in less than 10 minutes! I like steak!
This morning, he woke even earlier than Friday and Saturday. So, please wish no mad and no cranky boy today. The good thing is today, I have no plans scheduled so a home day could be what we need to reset his clock.
