Overwhelmed because all of this past week, I have been taking care of Niko. I took the week off since Nina had surgery on the 9th; she is doing really good in her recovery. Throw in a sick child since Wednesday; it’s probably just a cold…coughing, runny nose, and sneezing. On Wednesday and Saturday, Niko woke up at 4:30 am and I was up with him. Man, those were long days. He also doesn’t nap anymore! On both of those nights, Niko was asleep by 6 and I was asleep before 7:30. I was planning on taking him out throughout the week, but that never happened. Tired and sick son and tired dad. I did get him out today as we had breakfast with my parents and then we went to the elementary school in the neighborhood. Niko played in the playground and drove his red plasma truck with upgraded tires all around the paved areas. It was really nice to see him having a good time. I went to that school a long long long long time ago and even though some of the play areas looked familiar to me, I hope they were newer versions. His reward was a Freddy’s vanilla and chocolate milkshake with sprinkles.
Stressed because after I put Niko to sleep in the evenings, I have school work to complete in addition to all the stuff I normally do in the evenings; like clean the kitchen, gather the garbage, clean kitty litter, and eat dinner. And, by that time, I am ready to be done and call it a night. Sometimes, I have been having second thoughts about completing my MBA. But, it quickly goes away once Niko is sleeping and I can clear my thoughts. One night, I actually sat outside and that was a pleasant way to clear my thoughts. I did get a little bit of school work completed throughout the days as Niko hung out with me on the sofa. It was my first paper about my leadership strengths and weaknesses and my leadership theory.
Eating bad all week; let’s just say, it’s been a lot of bread, pasta, and sugar snacks! I will get back on a good track starting tomorrow.
