On Thursday, Nina and I will be celebrating our 9 year wedding anniversary. Yes, we are 10/10/10; it’s easy to remember! I am off that day and also on Friday. We don’t have big plans, probably just a steak lunch somewhere while Niko naps or doesn’t nap and maybe some shopping for a new belt for me. And, on Friday, we may go to Sea World or the zoo; we just looked at the weather for that day and it says high in the upper 70’s! Perfect weather for outside since Niko still won’t wear shorts and a t-shirt.
I say nap or no nap for Niko because for the past few days, naps have’t been happening. Today, he had his best nap in several weeks.; close to 2 hours. We still prepare him for naps, but if he doesn’t nap, we leave in his room for an hour so he can relax. We have a baby monitor and can hear and see everything he does. On Thursday and Friday, he woke up much later than normal and because of that, we didn’t even attempt a nap; when no nap happens, his bedtime is 7:00 to 7:30. Normally, it’s 8:30. He is getting to that age where eventually, he will drop that nap all together; when that happens, we will still make him hang out in his room for an hour. What he does will be ultimately up to him. It will be nice because when we go out with him, we won’t have to rush home. We can stay out all day. All we will need to do is pack the mommy car with food and drinks for everyone.
Oh, back to my wife. Gosh, I love her so much and she makes my life much better as does Niko. She is beautiful, smart, tall, and funny! And, she puts up with me and supports me when I need supporting. I am so glad she got a job in my department while we working at WAMU. She changed my life in so many ways. I enjoy spoiling and taking care of her.
When are are together, we always have fun and are most of the time interrupted by Niko telling us to be quiet.
When we kiss in front of Niko, he makes a happy face and comes running towards us to get in the middle.
