I got a question to ask all the parents all over the world.
Why do you share photos on social media of your kids? I am not a hater on this; I love seeing baby photos of all kinds! I would love to share pictures of Niko; before we had Niko, I shared way to many Franklin cat photos.
I do take a lot of Niko pictures and videos, but they are for me and Nina’s eyes only; and maybe some of my co-workers whom I force them to look at him or my parents when I see them. Oh, Niko also likes to see himself and I allow that.
We don’t share Niko’s face because we don’t want his picture to get in the wrong hands; there are a lot of pervy people on the internet and Niko is absoluelty adorable with his blue eyes and curly hair; wait that is me! It would be really creepy and scary if somebody in the world had my picture plastered all over the place and cut-outs for all the times my name was mentioned in the media.
We do have a private account where we share everything from his big head to his little toes and everything in between; mainly so the grandparents can see him on an almost daily basis.
I know that we can only shelter him from social media for a little while longer; yes, I know he is 2 1/2 years old!
One thing that annoys me is when people ask me on social media to post a picture of his face. The answer is No. If you want to see him, visit us in person. Niko loves to showcase his latest array of toys, books, legos, or you can have an adult converstaion with him; he understands more than the average 2 1/2 year old, trust me on that one. I can’t even skip a page in his books because he will tell me.
