It’s funny because I had this book in my Want to Read list, and when it finally made it to my Currently Reading list, it was Thanksgiving and my wife turned on the movie, Back To The Future, for us to watch. And, I am glad to say my 9-year-old on liked it. Now, we need to get him to watch the sequels! Can I go back in time to give him a piece of paper to doodle on instead of an iPad!
If you a fan of the movie and Family Ties, then this book is for you as it provides a lot of extra insight to both. There are a lot of great stories from behind the scenes and he talked very highly of Robert Zemeckis, Stephen Spielberg, Bob Gale, and Gary David Goldberg. He also had a lot of respect for his fellow actors and the crew itself.
He did Family Ties during the day and Back To The Future during the late night into early morning. When Family Ties finally finished, he devoted all the time to the Future (or the past). He did it, and not only did he do it, he did it very well. He actually took over the role as Marty McFly from Eric Stoltz who was let go after six weeks of filming. Fox did tell his readers that he and Stoltz ended up meeting and talking about life and family. If they did talk Back To The Future, Fox kept it between the two of them.
