Buried Prey (Lucas Davenport, #21) – by John Sandford

Posted on 07/28/202507/28/2025 by Mark

In the present time, the bodies of two young girls are found. Lucas was one of the police officers on the original case, and through flashbacks, the story shines a light on what went down back then. Lucas was a relatively new police officer and was working hard to get noticed by his superiors. Also, as Lucas is investigating, a young Del and Sloan are also helping him. We learn a bit more about Lucas, as he was thinking of law school and was just starting to dabble in computers and reality games.

Lucas and Del, along with Jenkins and Shrake, in the present time, rework the case and of, course, they find the bad guy. The three of them also had to make sure Lucas didn’t do anything stupid that would take them all down.
