Welcome to the Circus of Baseball: A Story of the Perfect Summer at the Perfect Ballpark at the Perfect Time – by Ryan McGee

If you want to know what it’s like to be an Intern for a minor league baseball team and make $100 a week, then read this book.

I enjoyed reading about how he got the job, and everything he did for the team. I was also fascinated with the historical aspects of the stadium, McCormick Field.

I, myself, worked for a minor league baseball team for no pay during the summer of 2000, and I never did as much as Ryan did. The fulltime staff members do a lot of everything and rely heavily on part time positions and interns to help with all aspects for running a baseball franchise. Most of the people I worked with in 2000 are still employed with the team.
