Last Wednesday, I celebrated my birthday and I am very glad that the cake Nina made didn’t have 48 candles on it, because, honestly, I don’t think I could’ve worked my way to blow out 48 candles. That’s a lot of work and, also, I don’t like fire. The cake was homemade with chocolate frosting, and it was absolutely yummy. Nina is an excellent baker of sweet things. That isn’t why I married her, but it definitely is a plus!
Nina got me a fancy schmancy drinking cup, ankle weights for when I walk, and new walking shirts. It’s funny, because I was thinking about ordering new walking shirts, but I haven’t gotten the chance to research. Last week, I did buy new Amazon branded walking shorts, a new pair of shoes (HOKA’s), and Apple AirPods. Man, don’t even let me tell you about headphones as I actually tried several brands for walking from cheap to expensive, and nothing was adequate for me.
So, what did I do on birthday? Well, nothing spectacular. I worked, I walked in the morning, and I took care of the laundry, and made sure the kitchen dishes were thrown carefully into the dishwasher. I also had Niko home as he wasn’t feeling well in the morning and Nina was recovering from a surgery so she was hanging out in the bedroom. My N’s did go out after lunch as Niko went to physical therapy for his ankle.
While they were out, I ran out and got myself and Niko Chinese food. Nina doesn’t like it, but I always ask as one day, she may change her mind. It’s kind of a junky place, but I really like the noodles and wonton soup. Plus, I can order online and pick it up at the drive through window, and it’s close to where we live.
