Last Saturday at Best Buy, I bought an Apple Keyboard Folio for Niko’s iPad. It’s basically a case and a keyboard. Its was not cheap, and Niko asked me why are Apple products expensive and I replied, it’s because of the brand, the technology, the fact that they all work very well together, and the products are the best and I know they will last a long time.
His old case had a stand, and that stand got broken fairly quickly, but he was OK with not getting a new case as he was using an Amazon Basics basic tablet stand. Hey, Nina has one also, and she uses it daily for her iPad Pro. I have a smaller version from another brand, and I use to hold my Kindle while I am reading.
So, back to Niko and Best Buy. I had wanted to go in the morning to have Niko look at cases, keyboards, mice, and Chromebooks. But, we didn’t make it till later in the afternoon. Sometimes, our schedule revolves around Niko and that morning, he had no intention of going out. His iPad and Switch video games were much more important!
When we finally arrived, Niko looked at cases, keyboards, mice, and Chromebooks. What appealed to him was an Apple Keyboard Folio. Hey, he turned his iPad into a MacBook! And, with the keyboard, he can get some more practice using it. I did tell him a few days ago, that once we move, I will set up the iMac and he can use that as well.
The next day, he made a customized drawing on the folio and somehow, the up arrow key on the keyboard got loose and stopped working and came partially off. I was upset as it’s brand new, but told Niko we can visit the Apple Store in La Cantera and hopefully, they can fix it as they are the experts.
Yesterday, Niko and I ventured to La Cantera for Apples and lunch. My goal was to leave the house at 9:45 so we could get to La Cantera by 10:15 or 10:30. But, we got stuck in construction outside our main neighborhood traffic light. Along with that, part of the service road and highway were closed for more construction. We finally arrived around 11:00.
Unfortunately, the Apple Store advised us to visit Best Buy. I am planning on doing Best Buy by myself today. Before I switched to Apple stuff, I always felt intimidated at the Apple Store and afraid to touch stuff and talk to the employees. Now, I have the confidence of an Apple and I am just one of the zillion happy customers of Apple. I have an iPhone, iPad Air, MacBook Air, Apple Watch, and I just added AirPods a few days ago.
For lunch, originally, Niko wanted Luciano’s for pizza. But, as we were walking around, he changed his mind and chose The Cheesecake Factory. The factory is good as they have a Texas size menu. I am eating healthier, so I really hard to study it for something that fits my appetite. I chose orange chicken (not the best, but not a cheeseburger or a steak), and was glad it came with white rice and some fresh vegetables. Niko chose spaghetti and meatballs. I did offer to bring anything home for Nina, but she declined.
