I finished my rehab on March 31st. Since I was the only one that graduated that day, I can add valedictorian to my mighty titles!
Although I don’t have the equipment at home that rehab has, I am walking outside and have even walked a few times on the treadmill at the neighborhood fitness center. I enjoy my walks and the fresh air on my face feels good. If you see me walking outside, you will probably notice my mouth is open and that is because I am singing along to whatever song is playing on my playlist.
Call me an Apple newbie (even though I have had Apple stuff for a several years), but just within the past few days, I learned that I can track my walks with a GPS map through Apple fitness as long I have the location turned on. I am not yet sophisticated to make interesting patters like some people do. I actually am tracking now as in a few weeks, I will be participating in a company virtual walk.
When we move in June, I will highly likely buy a treadmill and maybe a bicycle. I looked at a Bowflex treadmill at Dick’s sporting goods on Saturday, and want to see if Academy sports and outdoors has any to look at. My work will pay a few hundred bucks towards something. Last year, they helped me with the purchase of an Apple Watch.
I did buy two-15 pound weights so I can continue what I have doing at the weight station at rehab. I also have a new pair of sneakers arriving tomorrow. I have two new walking playlists; one is 80’s music and the other is 60’s dance party.
I feel good as James Brown says.
