When I saw that a new Jesse Stone book was being published by a new author, I was ready to dive in and didn’t care about who wrote it as in prior books by Parker, all the writers kept the same style. I couldn’t tell the difference. And I have read all the Jesse Stone books, Spenser books, and Sunny Randall books by several authors.
For this one, and like all the other Jesse Stone books, it’s predictable what the final outcome will be, but how they get there is different. It starts with a hoarder being killed and buried in the house is money and photos of other crimes and ends with a cop being shot. I won’t say who the cop is as this a new release.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it and at one point, I stood up and got excited by the action and had to tell my wife (who doesn’t care, but listens).
Lastly, I still can’t help it but after watching the Jesse Stone movies starring Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone, I can’t get him out of my mind when I read these books.
It was a quick read, and I can’t wait for more Jesse Stone books.
