Niko is off this week for Thanksgiving. I am off on Thursday and Friday. And, just like the past few Thanksgiving’s, Niko is sick again! I had to pick him up early from school last Wednesday, and he stayed home Thursday and Friday. On Friday, Nina took him to an urgent care clinic and the good thing is he doesn’t have anything bad, just a cold. But, they did give him antibiotics (pills). Pills are easier for him as we crush them and mix with pudding and Niko takes it with no complaints. Fortunately, he is already feeling better, but not perfect yet.
Me, I was not feeling great as well last week, and last Wednesday, was the worst for me. I was actually taking a nap when Nina called me as she was at a doctor’s appointment for herself. My phone doesn’t ring as I disabled that a long time ago, so it vibrates and I heard it on my nightstand. When I saw the caller ID as Nina, I picked up immediately. My first thought was, is everything OK! Fortunately, I am also feeling better, but not perfect yet also.
I think Niko had it first as for Veteran’s Day, he was not feeling well. We made him go to his recital that morning as he had been practicing since school started, but we took him home afterwards. He was home again the following day. Then, Nina got it. She is so much better now. I thought I would be immune to whatever it was, but nope!
