On Thursday, Niko finished his last day of 2nd grade. That morning and before we got him to school, one of his baby teeth finally fell out! It was loose for a few weeks. It was funny because he woke up and I heard him say my tooth fell out, can you find it in my bed! Immediately, I went into search and rescue mode. I turned on his light, moved his pillows and blankets to the side, and then I saw it…a tiny tooth just hanging out all alone! I showed it to him, and he cleaned it and then raced to show Nina! When me and him got downstairs to eat, he got a ziplock bag and marker to mark the occasion and store it. The tooth fairy put some money under his pillow that evening. The next morning when he tried to find it, it was gone! It fell underneath his bed sometime throughout the night as he woke up a few times for a quick pee. But, don’t worry, he found it!
We are now on summer break, but we won’t start doing anything major for a few days. I need to allow him time to decompress. I am glad, as well, because I no longer have to wake him up at 6:15 am. My alarm is now set for 7:30 am, so I can have a few minutes to eat breakfast before I start work at 8 am.
