Yesterday, we got our house cleaned from top to bottom. Unbeknownst to us, she made Niko’s bed and arranged all the pillows and blankets in a very nice layout rather than the what Niko prefers. And, what he prefers is very detailed and it takes Nina and I working together to get it correct. If something is slight off, he complains till it’s fixed. Occasionally, he asks for something different in the layout, but I refuse as I know that in like 5 minutes, he will revert back.
Oh, he has two quilts, two body pillows, a pillow covered in a small blanket for his feet, two pillows to sleep on, one pillow on the right of him, one pillow to the left of him, two stuffed animals (a peep and a Minecraft creeper) on top of the body pillows, and a pillow on top of his body and over the quilts. See, very specific. And, it’s dark and quiet as well. One day he went from lights on and music playing to nothing. Sometimes when he wakes up in the middle of the night, he throws everything on the floor. One time, he did that and it knocked over his lamp and then when we stepped out of bed, he stepped on the lamp and broke it. I have to turn a nearby light on when that happens so I can redo everything.
Also yesterday, I tried to get him out of the house while the cleaners were here. I did get him out, but it was for an hour and he complained the entire time. My thought process was we would go to goodwill at 10 am when they opened and then go somewhere fun where we can shop and then get something to eat. I was planing on only being away for a couple of hours.
Even though I did get him to come with me to goodwill, he really wanted to go back home. After goodwill, I asked him if wanted Subway for lunch, and when he heard that, his appearance and temperment changed. As soon as he ate a Cheeto, he was back to himself and happy. So, the issue we had was he as “Hangry”. He was angry because he was hungry! And he didn’t know it as he thought he was full from his salami and egg breakfast taco I made him earlier.
