The last time Niko and I made a trip to Party City was last June. And, the past two times we have had breakfast at IHOP this month, Party City wasn’t open yet. But, on Saturday, we finally made it there and they were open.
Niko’s primary focus at Party City was water balloons! He also got a few other trinkets. It’s really fun to watch him go through the isles with a shopping cart, looking at everything. I also made him pick out something for Nina for Valentine’s Day.
After Party City, he wanted Freddy’s so he could have a burger, fries, and a shake. I was like no babe, let’s have a fine dining experience at Chili’s as they are known for burgers and fries. And, we can get a shake or ice cream at Baskin Robins. He was like, OK.
It’s always fun going to restaurants with Niko, because he is so well behaved and acts like an adult. He can read, so I don’t have to spend extra time reading the menu to him. But, to be honest, most of the times, when we dine out, he knows what he wants. He is also very inquisitive and asks a lot of questions.
At Chili’s, he was captivated by the chips and salsa which he loved a lot. He got a cheeseburger with tomatoes and fries and I got a bacon cheeseburger plain with fries. I didn’t even realize that they forget the bacon on my burger until they brought out a few pieces in a bowl for me. I grabbed a small piece because Niko wanted to try it, and he ended up eating the rest. He enjoyed his cheeseburger and told me afterwards, that it was better than Freddy’s. Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about Nina as she placed an order to go for ribs! Not mine or Niko’s!
As we were driving out of the parking lot, Niko saw a Marble Slab and he asked for it, so I made a crazy totally safe turn in the parking lot and got a spot in front of Marble Slab. He got a peanut butter shake and I got a cookies and cream shake.
Niko and I had a great time out in the world, and he even did two quick dad errands with me; one before Party City and one after Marble Slab.
