I kind of knew who Viola Davis is, but I became more interested in her as she was in some of the Jesse Stone movies I have been watching lately.
Man, her life growing up was hard as she witnessed verbal and sexual abuse of herself, her mother, and her sisters. But she persevered and made it out to do good for herself. Despite that, I did enjoy learning about how she got started as an actress; theater, tv and then movies. She has been nominated and won several awards for her work.
I also liked the part of how she met her husband, and the process of adopting a child together.
