Today, Nina, Niko, and Mark didn’t waste a beautiful cool day sitting at home sewing (Nina), watching YouTube (Niko), watching television (Niko), playing video games (Niko), reading a book (Mark), or writing something that nobody will read (Mark).
The family of three went to an outdoor upscale shopping mall close by their house. They wanted to do Trader Joe’s and Michael’s, but that will have to wait for possibility next week.
They went to Macy’s because Niko remembered that they have Mario toys. Nina and Mark were hesitant to buy a Bowser Castle Playset, but since it was on sale, it was purchased.
They browsed through Barnes and Nobles and Lovesac.
They rode escalators and pushed buttons on elevators. They held hands. They laughed. Everybody had a great time.
They got hot drinks at Starbucks.
Nina and Mark were eyeing P.F. Chang’s for lunch, but Niko wanted Lucianos. Nina and Mark were adamant about no pizza so no Lucianos. A compromise was made for The Cheesecake Factory but waiting for a table is something that the family of three won’t do.
As the three of them were walking away from The Cheesecake Factory, Lucianos was calling their names – Mark, Nina, and Niko, come have pizza!
So, a very quick eating decision was made by Mark and Niko. They would eat pizza and Nina would do some more shopping on her own and come back for us in 30 minutes.
Later in the day and while Nina and Mark were making dinner, Mark heard a noise outside. He grabbed his wallet and ran out of the house giggling. Niko chased Mark, but when he saw what Mark heard, he ran back inside the house to get shoes and then came running to where Mark was standing. Mark already knows what Nina and Niko like. So, a chocolate shake was ordered for Niko, a scoop of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles was ordered for Nina, and for Mark, he ordered an oreo cookie sundae. And, with three ice creams in his hand, Niko and Mark waved goodbye to the Mr. Softee ice cream truck.
