My birthday was yesterday and to start the celebration early, I took Thursday and Friday off from work.
On Wednesday’s, I get breakfast tacos on my to work. And that was meal number 1.
Meal number 2 was Chinese takeout on my way home from work on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Niko and I had leftover Chinese food for lunch and dinner. As much as I wanted to have it for breakfast, I said no and made us bacon and eggs!
On Friday, the three of us went to the Animal Defense League to look at cats. Franklin cat passed away in June of 2020 and I do miss him, but not the mess and meows. I am not opposed to getting another cat, I just want to know that I will have help. We also went to see how Niko behaves with strange cats and he did awesome.
On Saturday, the actual day of my birthday. Nina made me waffles for breakfast since we had syrup from Trader Joe’s. Normally, we don’t have syrup readily available. For lunch, Nina picked up seafood from Sea Island. That was meal number 3. Nina made me a chocolate peanut butter cake and it tasted exactly as its name. Niko helped decorate the top with some sprinkles and an oreo cookie in the middle of it. He even blew the candles out.
Before bed, we watched Holes on Disney Plus as we are currently reading that book to Niko. Hopefully, we can finish the movie today.
Overall, I had a nice birthday and enjoyed some extra time off. Oh, Nina got me a bamboo shirt from Cariloha, a snack package from Universal Yums, and a video game for the Switch. With the Amazon gift cards from other family members, I got a pair of shoes and a book. From myself, I ordered some new stuff from Harry’s – not blades as I already have some from them.
The next birthday is Niko’s as his is next Monday, May 2nd.
