Lately and after I ask Niko a very simple question, he replies WHAT DO YOU MEAN? My reply back is WHAT DO YOU MEAN? Yeah, mean dad!
He asks me a lot of WHAT IFS. Most of them I can make something fun up, but sometimes, I am like it won’t happen so there is no WHAT IF.
Oh, Niko and I have coined 2022 the year of happiness and fun! We are vaccinated and are starting to go out in the world.
On Friday, the wind was so strong that Niko woke up a few times throughout the night thinking it was a tornado. The last time, I asked him if he wanted me to sleep with him and he answered yes. It was around 5 and he was having a hard time going back to sleep. I was actually worried because I didn’t want to be awake yet at that time, but eventually he was able to fall asleep and we didn’t wake up till around 8:15 am. In May of 2020, we actually did get a tornado and the three of us took shelter in our downstairs bathroom. Thankfully, we didn’t get any damage, but a lot of our neighbors did.
Last night, Niko and I slept on our L shaped sofa upstairs as his bedroom is currently being painted. Niko did a great job in clearing everything off his walls, I moved his dresser and bookcase out, and he even helped Nina with a little bit of painting. Tomorrow, we will put his room back together so tonight Niko and I will again sleep on the shaped sofa. Nina and I have slept on that sofa several times when we don’t feel well as we don’t like to bother the other one in the big bed. We value our sleep! I have a sleep mask so the lights from the house and nearby streetlight don’t bother me. What does bother me is the noise from the Roomba downstairs, so I just tell her not to run!
