3:45 AM

Posted on 12/05/202104/19/2025 by Mark

On Friday, Niko was done sleeping at 3:45 am. Way too early for me and I was like really? I went to bed the night before around 10 pm, which is a little bit later than I normally do. I also woke up at 2 am for a quick Niko pee. I tried to get him to go back to sleep, but it didn’t work. So, I grabbed my pillows, blanket, and eye mask and laid down in his bed with him, hoping he would go back to sleep, but that also didn’t work.

He kept asking for his iPad and I finally gave in at 5 am. At 6 am, he left the bed and moved his operations to the loft. His bedroom door was open so I could hear him, and I knew he was safe. Finally, at 6:45 am, I told him we can now get up for good. I probably got a few minutes of sleep during that time from 3:45 am through 6:45 am. I went downstairs alone and heated up my breakfast and grabbed my laptop and mouse and moved my work from home operations to my upstairs desk. I actually can work anywhere in my house.

Even though Niko was tired, he did really good all day. He did have tired eyes when we ate dinner. We did have him in his bed around 6:45 pm. I think he was sleeping in a few minutes. Nina and I went to sleep around 8 pm. My Niko pee alarm was set for midnight, and he had a quick pee, snack, and drink. Now the big question for us is when would he wake up? Well, he woke up at 6:45 am. Much better for everybody.

Yeah, I was tired on Friday. I am very glad that I didn’t have to drive to work, because I don’t think I would’ve been able to drive safely. I was able to be tired and do my work at home.
