Seeing Niko happy makes me happy.
A few days ago, I used our old baby gate to make a fort for Niko. I forgot, though, that as part of the gate was also the gate (duh) that opens and closes. I showed Niko how it works and he was blown away and super excited to be able to open and close it. He even moved it to his hallway where his bedroom and bathroom are so every time he had used his bathroom, he had to open the gate! That hallway also has our laundry room so I had to open and close it several times as well, but a few times, I just stepped over it and sometimes, I just moved it enough so I could get by.
Nina and I have been getting a lot of Amazon deliveries and Niko was sad because nothing was for him. But, no worries as we always keep a small stash of toys for him. So, I grabbed one which was a remote control stunt car. I put it on the front porch and knocked on the door, knowing that Niko would be interested in seeing what it was. After a few minutes of charging the batteries, Niko was super happy to play with it and had a loud happiness screams!
