On March 1st, I completed my final course at WGU for MBA and earlier this week, I was notified that my diploma has been mailed. Yay!
Last Monday, while I was visiting my parents, I grabbed my undergraduate diploma from there house because Nina and I will frame my MBA and find a safe place to hang mine and her degrees; somewhere, where Niko can’t touch it and take them down.
So, even though I have a list of stuff I want do in the evenings, I haven’t done anything except read books on my iPad. My brain is tired and when I come downstairs after Niko is sleeping, I am just so glad to do nothing. Well, that is a lie! I write and I have watched two movies and started a third one. The movies were One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Rock of Ages. I just started the new Borat movie last night.
But, as of a few days ago, we now have a TV downstairs so I can watch movies on a larger screen with my Bluetooth headphones or with low volume and subtitles so I don’t bother Nina, instead of on my mini iPad. I may have to move that new tv upstairs because we moved Niko’s game system downstairs and he likes to hang out and play it on the new tv; we were downstairs all day on Thursday and Friday. If we have to be stuck somewhere all day, Nina and I prefer to be upstairs. Or, we can just buy another large TV! Or, we can just move the small tv downstairs and hopefully, I won’t have to wear my glasses to see it while sitting on the sofa. Or, we can just buy another large TV!
Maybe I need another week before I can start tackling my list of things I want to do. My list is very ordinary: I want to write more, I want to work on rebuilding my brands, I want to edit all of the stories I wrote in high school and college (I have an app that can take a picture and convert it to a word document as the only copy I have is on paper), I want to learn more about WordPress, I want to spend a few minutes in the evening meditating (just relax my mind with no electronics), I want to catch up on movies and tv shows that I have missed (I have a lot because I haven’t watched any TV since Niko was born), and have a night every few weeks where I go to bed really early. See, not anything fancy.
One thing I have noticed since March 1st is I am much more happier in the evenings with Niko and I am not rushing to get him to bed so I can get some school work completed. Niko and I eat, play, laugh a lot, tell stories, wrestle, and we get clean. And, for the past few weeks, he has been extra cuddly before bedtime and I love it; we even get Nina for this extra cuddly time because she also loves it.
